Easily accessible are those of the islands of La Maddalena and Caprera, while the smaller islands can only be reached by sea. La Maddalena is a town of about 12,000 inhabitants, inhabited all year round, where all the main services and entities are present. The maritime connection is guaranteed all year round, from 07 in the morning until 19 there is a run every 15/20 minutes, in the summer the runs are considerably more frequent, from 20 to 07 in the morning the connection is every hour. The port of Palau is 40 km from the port and airport of Olbia. While the Alghero airport is about 130 km away.
